Det ser ud til at Nokia har et program: TALKS, for Nokia Series 60 and
Communicator phones allows blind or visually impaired users to use mobile
phones, by the virtue of it talking to them.
…with our software TALKS it is just that for a blind person as well.
The screen contents of the PDA part are translated into speech, so you
can listen to it through the internal speaker of the Communicator or a
headset. Alternatively, you can also attach a portable Braille display
to your phone.
With TALKS and the Nokia Communicator 9210/9210i, blind users can, write
and read SMS and e-mail, send out fax messages, customize the phone
settings according to their personal preferences and more.
Talks forbindes på følgende måde med braille:
Supports Braille I/O devices using a cable [S80] or Bluetooth [S60]
connection.
